What do Aristocrat Leisure's (ALL) revenue and earnings trends look like?
Revenue rose from $2.1B in FY2016 to $6.3B in FY2025, after peaking at $6.6B in FY2024. Growth was fastest in the earlier years, from $2.1B in FY2016 to $4.4B by FY2019, before flattening around $4.1-4.7B across FY2020-2021 and then resuming to $5.6B in FY2022 and $6.3B in FY2023.
Margins have swung over the period. Gross profit margin ran near 59-61% in FY2016-2017, fell as low as 43.5% in FY2020, and climbed back to 58.6-58.7% in FY2024-2025. Operating income margin mirrored this pattern, from 28.0% in FY2016 down to 12.4% in FY2020 and up to a decade-high 31.9% in FY2025.
Diluted EPS grew from $0.55 in FY2016 to $2.615 in FY2025, aided in part by a reduction in the diluted share count from a peak of about 663.9 million in FY2022 to about 624.1 million in FY2025. EPS did not rise every year along the way, including a fall from $2.21 in FY2023 to $2.04 in FY2024 ahead of the FY2025 rebound.
